Germany has submitted its proposal for the restriction of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) under REACH. The country had notified ECHA of its intention earlier in the year(CW 10 March 2014).
The proposal is for the restriction to cover manufacture, use or placing on the market of PFOA and related substances (linear and branched derivatives) on their own, as constituents of other substances, in a mixture, or in articles.
