Service Overview:

The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA) is the core regulatory framework for consumer product safety in the Canadian market. For toy products, the Canadian government has formulated the specific "Toys Regulations" (SOR/2011-17), which imposes strict mandatory requirements on the mechanical and physical properties, flammability performance, chemical properties, electrical performance, and labeling of toys.

Range of application:

Applicable to all toys, namely products intended for children under the age of 14 to use during learning and play.
